Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Catch Yourself. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Robert Biernat Development ("we", "us", "our"), governing your use of the Catch Yourself mobile application and related services (the "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Catch Yourself is a voice journaling app for iOS and Android. Users record short voice reflections and receive AI-powered insights including mood analysis, theme extraction, and reflection prompts. The app also offers streak tracking, weekly challenges, mood stories, mood chat, and historical trend analysis.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you may create an account via Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email magic link. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain account security, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Pro is available at $6.99/month or $39.99/year (52% savings).

4.3 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial of Pro. The trial starts automatically and does not require a credit card. After 7 days, the account reverts to the Free tier unless you subscribe.

4.4 Payment & Billing

Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store payment information.

4.5 Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can cancel anytime through your device's app store settings. You retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their policies.

5. User Content & Ownership

You own your content. All voice recordings, transcriptions, and journal entries remain your property. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models or sell to third parties. This license terminates when you delete your account.

6. AI Processing & Limitations

Catch Yourself uses AI to transcribe voice recordings (Cloudflare Workers AI) and generate insights (OpenAI gpt-4.1-mini).

AI-generated insights are for self-reflection only and are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional.

AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Mood scores and themes are approximations. We work to improve accuracy but cannot guarantee correctness.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Robert Biernat Development. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Voice recordings are processed at the edge. We do not sell your data. You can delete your data anytime.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy. Active subscriptions continue through the billing period.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and applicable EU regulations. Disputes are subject to Polish courts. EU consumers may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
